The danger in having a firewall that "takes about 30 seconds" to
configure is that you very likely have absolutely no idea what it's
doing.
I would VERY STRONGLY encourage you to learn up a bit about iptables and
find out exactly how your machine has been configured.
Knowledge is Power and you certainly don't want the crackers out there
to have more power than you do when it comes to your own machine.
