Hi all,
Does anyone have a procedure for creating a Linux boot partition? I have RH 6.2 installed and boot to it using a floppy. I'd like to create a partition on disk 0 to boot from, and stop using the boot floppy (unless there's an emergency).
The Solaris boot menu already lists the Linux partition. I've copied the floppy's files to the disk 0 Linux partition, but it always says 'Bad PBR...' and does not boot.
On the system's disk 0 is:
Solaris/Intel x86 boot ---> provides a menu for booting into the other OSes
Solaris swap filesystem 256MB
Linux partition 10MB
Windows98 ~2GB
On disk 1:
Linux root filesystem
Linux swap
Solaris root filesystem
