Linux is not Windows. There is a lot of hardware that works just fine in
Windows but does not work worth a crap in LInux. It all depends on is
someone wrote a program that allows that piece of hardware to be used.
If they did write the program is is good or bad? There is some of both.

Do your self a big favor stick to components the Linux community says
works great with Linux.
