[SLUG] OpenSSH Question

I am attempting to install openssh on my RH6.1 server and it says I need:

libc.so.6 (GLIBC_2.2)

in looking at my RPM's,,,rpm -qa,, I do not see the libc.so.6 file. If I
upgrade to the GLIBC_2.2 will it interfer with anything I have running now??
I just have not built any confidence in working on our 'live' system yet.
Is there anything I need to look out for? Is the GLIBC_2.2 available in an
RPM? I guess I could get off my lazy fingers and look for that myself,,eh?
