So you're saying that the LSB is doomed to failure? All the major
distros (besides Slackware) have people involved, and the executive
levels at these companies see this effort as a good thing for the
industry as a whole. It doesn't in any way prevent adding value, but it
makes it easier for third parties to work with Linux. And that "tiny"
group of people you're talking about includes all the major distros.
