[SLUG] just put linux on a friends thinkpad

I just put redhat 7.1 with ximian gnome on a friends 760e thinkpad last
night. I was impressed at how redhat handled the removable base.

The bare laptop has no floppy or cdrom, but I heard it would install with the
ulta base attached. everything went fine. I thought there would be some kind
of error when he removed the base but there wasn't Linux handeled it fine.

Just thought I'd pass this on
