Right, but how do I make them see one another? I mean, what if...
1) The IP of A is 192.168.1.1 and the IP of B was 192.168.1.2
2) Do I simply leave the Subnet mask as is (255.255.255.0)? Does it
matter?
3) Do I have to do anything in regards to the name server list (Host
name, domain name, name server list and Doman search list)? (probably
not, is my guess)
4) What about routing? Is it even a consideration?
I've tried to make my systems talk before but have never been
successful. Is there a step-by-step anywhere I could take a look at? I'm
much better at learning from that (having a finished product, then
disecting), than from "This does a, this does B, now piece it together."
I know this is a bit much to ask, but thanks in advance (and thanks,
Jason, for your time).
