SLUGs:
It happens from time to time that someone wants to post messages to the
SLUG list from an address under which they're not s*bscribed. Like, if
you're at work, and you want to reply to a message on the list.
Obviously, if you're not s*bscribed, you can't post from that address.
And if you do s*bscribe under your work address, you'll end up getting
the same emails both at work and at home.
Russ Herrold originally dreamed up a solution some time ago, and NKS
has implemented it for us. It's called the "SLUG Posters" list. This is
a "post only" list, meaning that you can only post from this list; it
will not receive emails. You can subscribe to this list, and post emails
from it.
Here's an example. Bob has an email address at home that's s*bscribed to
the slug list: bob@myemail.com. When he goes to work, he sometimes
downloads mail from this address, but his email address at work is
bob@mycompany.com. He can't post to the slug list from that email
address unless he s*bscribes from it, and then he gets the same emails
at work and at home. Soooo... he s*bscribes to slug-posters with his
bob@mycompany.com address. Now, he picks up his mail from
bob@myemail.com, but he can post either from bob@myemail.com _or_ from
bob@mycompany.com.
Instructions for subscribing (to _all_ the lists) are on the lists page:

Any questions, let me know.
