Bleah, yeah, that's a problem.
If you could get your mail server to stop appending "quillandmouse.com"
just put a .forward file in your wife's account to forward from
local-delivery of "nancyf" to "nancyf@quillandmouse.com". Then setup a
virtualusertable type thing (if Postfix supports it) to forward mail to
other local users to other appropriate locations.

Sendmail, since they went commercial, really seem to have hit the
security side of things really hard. I haven't seen a good sendmail
exploit for a long time. I feel pretty safe in using it myself
nowadays.
And it just bloody does everything. I've tried exim, which is default
for Debian, and run into things it wouldn't do that I needed it to do,
played briefly with qmail and couldn't get it running, and looked at
Postfix and found it didn't do a couple things sendmail does that I
absolutely need....
To get the .mc config files, if you're using RedHat, install the
sendmail-cf package. If you're using Debian, the mc file stuff is
installed with the default "sendmail" package. If you're using
something else, you're on your own. :)
