Sendmail is the transfer component for outbound and for
receiving offered mail -- fetchmail can GET the mail, and
offer it to a local instance of sendmail -- The 'behind the
firewall' (and the 'get the whole domain's content' aspect)
rules out having re-setting the MX records and using sendmail
ETRN options. (also it is a bit touchy to get going)
fetchmail is in most linux distributions -- setup is easy and
documented in the fetchmail.conf man page --
