Well, I have found three actual xml editors: Lean Edit,
http://www.leanedit.org
It is gpl'd.
Merlot xml editor, http://www.merlotxml.org
this dark wine is licensed a la Apache.
Finally, Morphon xml editor, which is proprietary code.
