I don't know why Kmail would hang like this. I've never really had any
trouble with it. I know that there is a "Send Again" command if your message
gets stuck in the outbox...It may be that there is some negotiation between
your ISP's mail server and the one on your box. How do you have your mail
sent? I just let SMTP send my stuff over port 25...I gave up on sendmail,
mainly because I'm lazy :-)

As for the windows not cleaning up after themselves, that's more like a kde
problem. If I open a bunch of windows in konqueror, or close a bunch all at
once, it takes a while for each window to come up or "go away" completely.
They draw over each other, don't respond, etc. In your case, the activity
possibly going on between your machine and your ISP would be responsible for
this. Maybe you could file a bug report about your difficulty with kmail?
Sorry I don't have a better solution (or any, it feels like)...

These are not real questions...Kmail doesn't really deal with this stuff.
These questions just seem to be too often asked when they aren't relevent...
