Just loaded Progeny on the HP OmniBook 4100 laptop, looks good so far
but for a sound glitch ... sure that will resolve shortly ... I hope.
So far have been unable to get e-smith to recognize the 3Com 905-tx 100/10
pci nic, anyone have suggestions, please? (I'd just throw in a pci 10 nic
but
all I have is ISA's and the one ISA slot holds a modem ... what's a geek to
do? Suppose I need to make another trip to the 'toy' store!)
I need to get my IBM ThinkPad 360cse (dos and Win3.1) to recognize my
3C589C Etherlink III pcmcia/pc card nic. Tried the DOS drivers on the 3Com
web site to get the process kick-started ... don't recall how to get
networking to
run under DOS or Win3.1 Any suggestions re. that? (Need to load Peanut
Linux
on the ThinkPad and since it has no CD drive wish to do it via the e-smith
network.)
Thanks! Doc
