I don't personally know this gentleman. He must have got my name and
email address from the SLUG site and being that they are Linux

Thank you for your help. To let you know what is going on...I am
the President of the Tampa Bay Java Users Group and have recently
finished up a contract. One of the consulting companies that
supports our meetings (i.e.. pays for the location and food) has
asked if I might be able to help them find some people for
projects...I have two other openings listed below that might be of

Systems Engineer (Very Hardware Focused)
Duties:
Responsible for understanding of complex electronic systems.
Responsible for development of new systems and redesign of existing
systems to improve system performance, to include software, hardware
and supporting documentation. Ability to troubleshoot and repair
system in development and the field. Ability to provide clear
technical direction to assist in training and required support for
system development and issue resolution. Ability to interface with
customers and resolve technical issues effectively.
Requirements: BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering and/or equivalent
experience. A minimum of 5 years experience required. Ability to
understand software, electronic, electrical and mechanical
assemblies, and interfaces. Must have strong background in real time
programming in C / C++ under UNIX/LINUX platforms and their
associated interfaces. Excellent verbal and written communication
skills required.
