You would basically set it up the same way just enter your horizontal and
vertical settings ,
also most new Linux distros do already have LCD monitors listed in them for
the xfree86 and up
you should not have any problem

The only thing with some of them is that when looked at from a angle they
look all white so you want to
make sure you find one that looks good.

Also sams club has a ctx one for about the same price which is a great brand

If you have the extra cash though NEC always seems to be the nicer looking
ones as is viewsonic.
Check Bestbuys and look at them !
