The newer artificial hearts (turbines NO PULSE!) were invented by
NASA. They spin at ~10,000rpm, cut up no red blood cells, and are
spun by an external torroidal electromagnet.
The only thing that itches me about this project is the turbine is in
private hands now. The intellectual property should be public IP.
If any of you know different, email me off list. I was interested in
this project till I heard that private crap. Where's RMS where oh
where.
