I do this in my $HOME/.bashrc
if [ ! -d /mnt/hank/brian/data ]; then
smbmount //hank/brian /mnt/hank/brian -o username=$USER%$PASSWD
fi
if [ ! -d /mnt/hank/slash/boot ]; then
smbmount //hank/slash /mnt/hank/slash -o username=$USER%$PASSWD
fi
The checks for known subdirectories prevents multiple mounts.
