As an AutoCAD user (must be windows), using Linux as
the primary OS was not an option at my work, BUT
I did find this out:
1. The head of the computer dept considered that he
was letting me use his pc, so don't mess with it.
Then a linux boot from a cd/floppy would be much
preferred than an intrusive dual boot.
2. If you can add anouther pc on their network then
you can bring in a pc to run your favorite distro and
use putty and an X emulator to work from you Win box.
Both of these will allow you to show&tell Linux without
being confrontational and stepping on toes.
