Someone just gave me an idea offlist that might be worth following up
on. The idea would be to give newbies at meetings demo CDs. Something
where they could run it and it wouldn't mess with their Windows
machines. We'd have a show of hands of newbies at the beginning, and
then announce that we have free demo disks for them. This would require
having quite a few disks, most likely Knoppix, since it seems to be the
most mature distro that will run totally off your CD. If someone's
willing to burn a bunch of these, we could implement the idea. It could
also be used in newspaper ads and such to get newbies to meetings.
