heh -- the physical site the slug web host unit is at has
occasional power issues, and the people maintaining the Cisco
router servicing its t-1 have decided not to place it on a
UPS. (the T-1 are the telcom's problem; my hubs and the
webserver unit itself are on honkin' big USP's)
The webserver restarts hourly and does a bunch of name lookups
to decide what it is servicing; if the cisco winks off (as has
happened with summer storms in central Ohio the last couple of
weeks), it cannot reach a nameserver, and falls back to the
first (default) site on that box.
Next restart it should and seemingly does, clear up, because
the Cisco came back, restoring upstream connectivity.
