My suggestion would be to drop another $30 or so on a PCI based IDE controller
(Promise Ultra, for example, but there are others). You can then put the 160G
on the card and run it at full speed. The problem is that the IDE bus will run
at the speed of the slowest device so no matter which of the built-in IDE
ports you use, it won't be optimal.
