I use Gaim 0.75, under Linux and XP. (Tried 0.76, but it crashed
repeatedly under both OSes.) With it, I log into AIM, MSN Messenger and
ICQ. One protocol or another will die, and then another, and then
another. Usually before all three die, Auto-Reconnect will do its thing,
but I'm still left with a "Reconnect/Close" dialog for the failed
connection. The Linux desktop is connected by 100BT, the XP laptop by
802.11b . Both go through a USR 8054 router
(http://www.usr.com/products/networking/router-product.asp?sku=USR8054).
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it due to Gaim? to the router? me?
I'm using router firmware 1.21. Should I upgrade to 1.21h (from the USR
web site), even though it seems to reset _everything_?
