I'm using the tyan thunder k8w-s2875 board. My onboard sound uses the
i810_audio OSS module, or the snd-intel8x0 ALSA module. The OSS driver
has several problems; the ALSA driver works great.
Are you getting any error messages when you try to play sounds? What are
the permissions on /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer ?
