Whever I read news (I do so with trn) and decode a binary with munpack 1.5
and there's a space in the filename, munpack chokes and transforms them
like so:
name with spaces.001 -> name
name with spaces.002 -> name.1
name with spaces.003 -> name.2
This gets really obnoxious when the parts are decoded out of order; the
first completed gets no suffix, the next gets ".1", and so on. At that
point I can only guess what the original sequence was. I would prefer
oddly-named files to this mess.
Does anybody know a solution, or do I just write a wrapper to translate
" " -> "_" in the filename?
