I used to go to the one in Buffalo, NY, all the time. I picked up my
monitor at an excellent price. (At the time 21' CRT Sony Trinitrons were
$1,200, I got mine for $100 because the Sony label had broken off and a
wee scratch -- not even 1mm in length on the lower left corner.)
Because of those shows, my whole system is SCSI, since you could get
cards and drives at a much more reasonable price than buying them from a
retailer. Of course that was in Buffalo and four years ago.
On an amusing note, before they were busted by InterPol, there were
people actually selling CD's of w4r3z there. They had the largest
tables of all. (Example, M$ Orifice for 5 bucks.)
I haven't been to the one in Tampa yet. I might have to go up and see.
Buffalo was $10 bucks to get in. Ugh. Ended with a preposition.
