Had a problem for a while. Running slackware 9.1 upgraded to kernel
2.6.4 (could not get alsa to work with my sblive card wierd I know. so
I ended up using the old OSS drivers) well one day right in the middle
of playing a mp3 xmms locks up and ever since then MP3 audio does not
seem to work. Rhythmbox refuses to load. Xmms loads but if you try
playing any thing it goes through the play list extremely fast like it
is on crack... does not play anything. it just keeps going through
them rapidly never stopping. I even downloaded the latest xmms and
compiled from source that did not seem to help either. If anyone has
any idea where I can start to look to fix this I would be so happy. I
might even cry. Linux is so lonely with out my mp3s ... I dont have
enough AAC files ( which work fine) to enjoy my music.
