These errors in samba and cups are usually passwords or logins not being
identical. I don't know your configuration but I have samba and cups on
a RedHat 8.0 box and I can print from my windows box. Can you see the
printer in your network neighborhood? have you added the user to
smbpasswd? Have you added the user to Linux? Are all the logins and
passwords the same? Do you have encryption enabled on both sides? Can
you setup a samba share for the user and then map a drive to that
share? Everytime you make changes to smb.conf you must restart samba or
it will not recognize the changes.
