I have Redhat 8. At some time in the past (most likely when I was using
RH 7.2), I wrote a script which would incorporate $PWD into the xterm
title bar. This doesn't work with the newer rxvt (and hasn't for a while;
I just now got fed up with it). So, I want to do it the right way.
I see RedHat has already done the work for me; how nice. However,
/etc/bashrc tests for the existence of /etc/sysconfig/bash-prompt-xterm ;
I don't have that last one. It's not in any of the RH8 RPMs, nor can I
find it anywhere among my files, including in
/usr/share/doc/{bash-2.05b,bash-doc-2.05b}. So, where do I find this
file? Or do I re-implement it, in lowest-common-denominator sh?
