I had a similar problem with RR a few years ago. Switched to GTE Americast
(now Knology) for a little over a year (only had to reset the router once or
twice) and then back to RR. RR hasn't hiccupped since the switch back almost
a year ago. I had the problem whether I was connected directly to the modem
or through a Netgear one port router. Had to pull the power plug on the
modem to reset it, then it worked fine for a one to two weeks and then the
same issue again.
