Trying to get my Epson 2450 scanner fully functional in Linux.
The book talks about Kooka. It doesn't tell that to get Kooka
you have to install "kdegraphics3-scan".
I want more functionality so I went for Epson-Kowa's ISCAN RPM.
I couldn't figure out how to get it into YAST, but finally tried double
clicking
it and YAST came up. Then it said I needed the SANE Epson back ends.
I got them as TAR.GZ. I UNTARed them, but how do I get YAST to use them?
One of SUSE's failings is that I find no mention of downloading or what
to do with
downloaded files in the books that came with SUSE 8.2 Prof.
