The reason why they told you to call back in 6 months is people like
your self they try to put RTs out your way cutting 22k down to 6k to
the rt and then the rt transmit to the co via fiber. As tampa is
preparing for verizon to start ther fiber to the home rollout they
plan on extended it out to the rest of the area and spread out that
way. Like I know some local techs for verizon in the sarasota area
that apparently are getting trained on fiber. To help out with the
fiber roll out when it hits sarasota. As soon as your town gets fiber
you can kiss roadrunner good bye.
