Have you tried the Sarge installer? I just tried that for the first time
tonight and, I've gotta say, I like it quite a lot.

About that: I just installed a fairly rudimentary Debian setup using the Sarge
installer. After the fact, I added a few things using apt-get, like the X
window system, Windowmaker, Firefox, Vim, and Gaim. Everything's running
smoothly. I love it. This is the least annoyance I've had from any Linux
installation so far. Then again, I haven't tried to turn it into a fax server,
so I'm not sure I'm qualified to give it an unreserved thumbs-up yet.

I'm just going to play around with this one for a while. In the interest of
helping me do so, I was wondering if anyone on the list would suggest something
I should install and test. Don't try to get me to break the OS, mind you --
just give me some ideas for stuff to try out.

Oh, by the way . . . What's a simple command line instruction to find out how
much free space is left on the hard drive? I seem to be drawing a blank on that
particular important task.
