> How are the Thinkpad built-in modems doing on Linux?
Some work out of the box with MEPIS, which includes drivers for Lucent
Winmodems, some can be made to work with downloadable Winmodem drivers,
and a few are never going to work. I believe Linux modem drivers are
available from IBM for all their new Thinkpads. I have some coworkers
using them with no problem, but don't recall exact models.
On my ancient Thinkpad 600E the modem works but the NIC doesn't. Go figure!
