Since wife is in the middle of finals week at USF, I chickened out and
went with the Fedora 1.0... loaded without any difficulties/issues. BTW
purchased this laptop from PCUSA.com So far, very pleased. $1027
including S&H... ASUS 2.4 GHz with 512 memory, 40 GB HD with 8 MB cache,
NIC, modem, 5! USB ports (first laptop I have seen with that many),
firewire, DVD player/CD-RW, SD/memory stick card reader, PCMCIA, IRDA.
Suppose to be able to install a factory option internal mini pci
wireless card, but asus laptop tech support has not answered back in 5
days regarding this. Netgear USB wireless seems to be working fine.
Course' wife called me today, while she is in Manchester airport "How do
I connect to their wireless network? What is a 'w' 'e' 'p' key."
