Welcome to the club! I know more about a lot of computer stuff than the
people I work with (and the techies!), and I have a non-technical job,
but the SLUG people don't make you feel stupid, they make you feel at
home! It's great to be around people that share your interest, and know
what you know, and know what you don't know. But you'll be surprised at
what you know that they don't. This isn't some type of jargon filled
meeting of brain surgeons; it's going to be people who are enthusiastic
about what they're doing, hobbyists and professionals and in-betweens. I
call it my nerd meeting to people who don't get it... :-) But the guys
and gals who show up are far from nerds/nerdy/etc...they're the coolest
people on the planet! So go, enjoy yourself.
