Yes, it's hard to mount a strong defense of the marketing and
management skills of a company that just sold their entire PC division
to China. What bothers me is just how many thousands of patents have
fallen into Chinese hands. I haven't heard any data about this--just
guessing.

If you look at the escalating trend in America to lauch frivilous
lawsuits (SCO, MS, et al), and then think about what might be ahead,
coming from China. After all, IBM was a somewhat responsible
corporate citizen, and probably used their pile of patents with some
restraint. Can the same be said of the new owners?
