First, Happy Holidays. Ok. I reloaded my Slack 10 install kde and used the
KDE contrib slack-packs for my KDE 3.3.2. Now my sound won't work (where it
did in the past). I am running the generic 2.6.7 kernel. The error says
"/dev/dsp not found". I have tried upgrading arts as well as alsa. Nothing
seems to work and Linuxquestions.org seems to be no help. Maybe an upgrade
to the 2.6.9 kernel in current/testing. Who knows.
I am also having issues with CUPS. Can't start or stop the daemon. Who
knows. I can keep messing with it. Anyone know of any issues? I have
searched and nothing.
