IME ALSA has often involved defining aliases in /etc/modules.conf . If
those would be the same no matter which card is used (I've used it with two
cards, both SB models) or OSS setup involves similar work, then yeah, this
card entails no additional work, and this guy is speaking from his nether
regions.
