Speaking of fan noise: I blame my tinnitus on computer fans and CRT tubes.
When you spend most of your day around noisy machines, you're stuck with
a high-pitched squeal all of the time that you block out as background
noise.
I've been playing with TinnitusTamer on my Mac, and the sessions do seem
to help a little (haven't kept with it long enough for anything to be
"permanent" yet):
Might be a fun opensource project to write an analog for.
