Hosting companies are pretty limited as to what they can use. It's either a
handful of options that might not be the best or spend the time and effort
reinventing the wheel and writing your own control panel.
Why do you think they both stink? I've found Plesk to be easy to use and my
customers have only had good things to say about it. Not to mention
that Plesk
installed right out of the box on Debian servers (which is more than I can say
about ANYTHING else out there).
