Obviously not perfect, as SuSE is available as a free download. (I can only
assume that Linspire and Xandros are the same). The SuSE OS is free. When
you pay you are only paying for the printed documentation (also available
for free as a download).

It would be a shame to lose out on a particularly good distro (any one of
them) simply because it is "dropped" when one chooses "Free" as opposed to
"Non-free". It stands to reason that someone who would use this chooser is
not schooled in the open-source market and will take the results at face
value, and therefore not be fully educated on all of the available choices.

Has anyone had success in getting in touch with the project author(s) with
some of this feedback?
