You may wish to use the "instructions" at opensuse.org/Xgl (I think
that's right).

You will need to use the "beta" driver from ATI. The instructions tell
you what flags to use. The ATI proprietary driver has 10.1 as a
supported option and will compile the rpm correctly (usually).
