Interesting, but it seems to lack the ability to adjust "Levels" and RGB
"Curves". Without those features, it is very limited. I use Photoshop CS
on my WinBoxen, and GimpShop on my big iron (SuSE).

Check out Krita [1]. It is free (libre) software and part of Koffice. While
I have not had the need to use it myself, I have read that it is a strong
contender to GIMP.
