Folks,
I have a PC card that is a SD card reader, it was working just fine on my
SuSE 10.1 laptop. But just recently I went to pull some pictures off of the
card and I could not get it to open the card. Used to it would open the
thing on insersion, but now no joy.
The card reader is a PCMCIA card and it is built for SD cards only. One
point, I can pull the USB card reader out and plug it in and the card will
be opened no questions asked.
The only thing I can think of is that I did some patches and upgrades the
other day and possibly broke something.
I observe that when I plug the device into the PC card the /var/log/message
file does show that the card is recognized and indeed it is assigned as
device hde. But I can not mount it.
I had just bought the pcmcia card so as to not have to carry the USB
reader and cable around with me, but here I am back to it again, and
I really hate USB connectors they always look like something ready to
get hit and broke by something...
