That is a good question.

1. I will be doing some virtualization with XP and some other linux
distros. I have been neglecting my skills and I want to learn in a safe
way. I can play with different distros and make things not work and then
try and make them work. I want to play some of my games that I have because
I can't use them now. Most of them do not work with wine and if I had a
working XP, then I can run it from there. I wanted as much RAM as I could
afford and still be able to expand later.

2. I read a lot about the new quad cores for AMD and they are having
problems with them. This motherboard gives me the option to upgrade later
if I need that much power. I checked with the manufacture and other review
sites. They all gave this motherboard a good chance to go up. We will
see. Next year or I hope that I can get a second video card and more RAM.
We will see.

In all, I hope this PC will last me another 5 years or more.

William
