I have it working. I set up my mail as if I were using a CLI MUA (my
laptop is 100% CLI.) On this workstation, I use fetchmail, spamassassin
and procmail to send the processed mail to /home/logan/.mail/Inbox.
Then I tell Evolution to look for my mail in ~/.mail/Inbox. Evolution
then stores the mail in the labyrinth that is ~/.evolution.

My .procmailrc for Evolution looks like this:

LOGFILE=$HOME/.mail/pm.log
MAILDIR=$HOME/.mail
DEFAULT=$MAILDIR/Inbox

I never could get it to work using Evolution to fetch my mail. I'm a
Debian Stable user, so I am probably about 5 years behind you all,
anyway. </sarcasm>
