That is what I suspected, back in the dark days just after I had moved
to this location, they sent a guy out to install their stuff here. The guy
demanded a windows box, I told him I did not have one, he said that
without a windows box he could not do the install, and stomped off in
a hissyfit. They sent a real tech out, the guy saw my Linux box and
laughed, he said he had the same thing running at his home and that
the issue was with the fence post they sent out to do the work not
Linux. He sat down and got it all going in no time whatsoever. So I
knew that they could do it they just had to have the will.
Indeed you are correct, he told me he was supposed to install some
windows stuff but since I did not have windows he was not going to
install it. Sounds like they now carry their own gear so do not need
the customer box to do what they need to do. I will be at my friends
place anyhow to see how it goes.
