I don't know the first thing about accounting (hint: I can add and
subtract... :)
I think the direction I'll be heading in is to start / help on a cad/cam app
since this is the area I'm employed in. There is also a project at
gnu-cad-cam.sourceforge.net that looks like it will be a good jumping off
point. I've had a number of customers ask for this (some use windows *only*
to run the app I support). The number grows every week - I'm up to about a
dozen requests now. It's an itch I think should be scratched, and I can
contribute.
