I had the same problem with the paid-OSS project that I'm working on
(http://oss.software.ibm.com/developerworks/projects/dlm). My group
"solved" the problem by simply not having any internal mailing list. The
only list is the external list. Shortly after we did that, the VP of Linux
here decided that all OSS groups should/had to do the same. It seems to be
working pretty well. Just my $0.02.
