I don't believe the REAL numbers are that small, however I do believe
that the perceived numbers are. It would be nice if there was a real
method to count linux users, IE: All distributions should standardize on
an optional totally anonymous "click here to be counted as a Linux
desktop/server user" page post installation, perhaps using a third party
counter site to register with. Only then would we have even a rough
estimate of the real number of Linux users out there.
